Before Reading:
Today we are going to read the first part of the book, Friday Barnes, Girl Detective. Do you think this book is going to be funny? What category or genre do you think this one might fall into? Could there be more than one category? After reading: How does the author use humour in this story? How are the characters humourous? How does that help the story? How is the situation humourous in itself? Does that add to the appeal of the story? |
