Wellbeing and Being Human
Over the next few weeks we are going to explore some books in the library that can help us to better understand ourselves and to practise mindfulness. We live such busy lives, it is important to slow down and re-focus on what is really important - our family, our friends, ourselves and our relationship with God. Learning to believe in yourself and follow your own path.
What is special about being human?
- Brainstorm what being human means. How are we different to other animals? (Feelings/knowledge/creativity/making moral and ethical decisions)
- From a very early age we have learnt that each of us is unique and special. As we have gotten older we come to understand that our lives are better when we make good choices by considering others and treating each other with compassion and respect. We feel connected to others and have a sense of belonging when we mindfully strive to do the best we can for ourselves and others.
