Last week we concluded our reading by learning that George and Hana were to be separated from one another at Theresienstadt. It was their worst fear.

​We also learnt that Fumiko met a block to her investigations when she travelled all the way to Terezin only to discover that the museum was closed for a holiday and no one was there to help her.

As we come to the end of this chapter it is important to stop and acknowledge the way that we are feeling.
Even though, like Fumiko, we already knew the likely truth about Hana, we still may feel very saddened and maybe even shocked by what has happened to her.
Spend a few moments discussing this and also discussing her strengths and the things we admire about her.

​However, at the same time, Fumiko's new discovery gives us a sense of hope and something to go forward with.
