Lesson 1
Introduction
This term we are going to be looking at villains and heroes in children's literature. We are going to examine the ways that writers and creators develop the heroic and villainous characters in their books and films. So we will not only be looking at books but at other text types too, such as film and television. This is going to be a lot of fun because I'm sure that you know an awful lot about villains and heroes already!
Survey
Before we discuss too much more, let's run a quick survey of who the most famous hero and villain characters are for Year 5 at OLR in 2017.
They can be current ones or ones from books/films/television that you have always loved. Choose the one that sticks the most in your mind for YOU!
Write clearly the name of your hero on one sticky note and the name of your villain on another sticky note. Your teacher will collect and put them up on the wall for all to see.
